bigger, better

Yes, bigger better is our theme for this time's photo shoot. We were asked to tell a story between 2 to 6 images, with the main challenge how to make 2D more 3D. Photography does not mean flat.

There's so much more I would do. I would LOVE to shoot landscape, mirrors, illusions, the sea, strange bokeh and double exposure.... but in the end face portrait still won. I am obsessed, this is my third time doing this kind of face painting/photography already. Yeah there'd be plenty of excuses like not enough time, this is HungerTV, I could not find beautiful strange landscape in tiny Singapore...Oh well excuses are just excuses. Even my consciousness tells me to move on next time.

Anyways, facial portraits are the best. If you knew me before you'd know I love to draw on skin. It's s raw and fresh you could feel the model's tender breath and her facial muscles moving. You'd get close and examine everything, You watch her without watching her. She smiles, she talks, she moves slightly, she naps while your eyes pop open, trying to concentrate on just one thing: the lines.

Often, the people I worked with partly determines the outcomes. Professionally speaking you are supposed to guide and inspire and art direct the whole thing but ...anyway, Illya has been superb (though it's her first time modelling!) and I've got the best groupies ever <3

I'll bother you no more with words. And here, ladies and gentlemen, how I enjoyed the past 5 days so far...

Guess this beautiful pair of eyelids belongs to whom?

And whose hands?

No me, but here's the crew <3

Final ones will be updated tomorrow. Cheers!
